WHEN I GO SEA FISHING CAN I USE MY BITE ALARM ON A ledger?

i would say no.there is no need for them i guess you will be using your carp rod when you go so just use them like quiver tip rods but instead of them going to the side have the rods straight up instead. use some long rod rests or the breaker’s going down to the see
size leads to use 3 or 4oz grip leads .the carp rod will not take a lot more than this hook size 0/1 to 0/4 you will not need anything bigger than this and your standard line should be ok i guess you use 12 or 15 pound if you have any wire trace make some rigs like you would do for pike fishing but with a single hook instead of trebles
bait rag worm, crab, squid, sand eels, all these work well but it would be a good idea to ask some of the local they will know what is working at this time of year.
