Understanding The Bichon Frise Temperament

A Bichon Frise Temperament is generally loving, funny, warm, and contented. The Bichon Frise puppy is usually playful and  charming, HOWEVER they may not be for all!! Bichons have several different needs and oddities that people need to be aware of before you purchase any Bichon Frise Puppies.
One of the most apparent thing to consider is their coat grooming and care.
The owner of a Bichon Frise dog must be aware that a lot of grooming of this breed is required to keep it healthy and looking like a Bichon. They need regular brushing at least once a week, daily preferably to stop matting, their coats should be trimmed every 4-6 weeks. You must take into financial consideration when buying Bichon Frise pups that this breed requires a regular grooming schedule.
Bichons are a very good companion breed, they love being around people all the time and can suffer depression, anxiety and destructive behaviour when left alone. The Bichon Frise temperament demands attention, they can be an “in your face” breed. These dogs love to be with people, and love to snuggle up beside you or sit on your lap.
Bichon Frise Training around the house can be a huge issue, and is usually determined by the breeder plus the Bichons temperament. You must be prepared to understand that house breaking can take time and some dogs a quicker then others. The Bichon breed if not properly trained can end up running the house and therefore it would benefit the new owners to have gained some obedience training prior to the Bichons arrival.
Bichon pups temperaments will be inquisitive, they are nosey puppies and you need to be prepared for the loss of some items around the home. Their new home should be well fenced as they tend to chase anything that moves.
All said and done if you have the resources to cope with this little breed you will find the Bichon a loving and affectionate companion for years to come.
