When the weather is this depressing many of us want to stay indoors and keep warm. This does not mean that we can’t have any fun though as there are a whole host of games that can be played to keep us amused this winter. These games are good because they are not over in 5 minutes and give the whole family something to do together for a change.
Monopoly has long been a favourite of the UK and now has many different versions. The classic game can still be found in select stores but the famous board game has undergone a major revamp with the street names being updated and now you can even use a credit card instead of the famous coloured notes that were used all those years ago.
New games on the market include Family Fortunes which is a fun and exciting game to play with the rest of the family. Eggheads is also a relatively new game that has been released, this quiz tests your general knowledge and you can see who has bragging rights this Christmas. Board games and other games are very popular around Christmas as that is when all the family are together and there is nothing like a good quiz to sort out who is the top dog in the house! For music lovers there is the “name that tune” game where all you do is plug in an mp3 player in and you can see who has the fastest finger to guess the name of the song and the artist. If you have a family that loves their music this may be the ideal game for you as you can find out who knows their Michael Jackson from their Michael Buble.
We all like a game of cards every now and again. If you and your family are one of them then you may want to purchase a poker set (you can bet on who has to do the washing up or make the next cup of tea!), or you might choose an automatic card shuffler as nobody seems to want to shuffle.
