Army Strong…….?
In todays mail was a packetfrom the Army Recruiting Command with a CD, a decal and a pin. The letter enclosed told me that I could reieve $2,000.00 for refering a qualified applicant to the Army.
It made me wonder how people must have felt in Germany and Japan when they realized they had been supporting an unworthy cause. They were either fighting bravely in the military or enduring bombing when it came to them.
I greive for todays soldiers and thier families. Enduring repeated extended tours for a Regime which is only about stealing everything that isn’t nailed down. From Abu Grahib to Walter Reed, Katrina to Flu Shots and poisoned Pet Food. The Government has been sold to the highest bidder with no care for the consiquences.
God Help America
I concur that USAREC is a farce, and TRADOC is a sick joke. Recruiting and training of new privates is now a completely Mickey Mouse endeavor that makes the best efforts of Michael Milken or the Enron Board of Directors look like Nickelodeon.
I wouldn’t go far as to blame the government for poisoned pet food, but there are deep-seated structural problems in the Army that no $300 million ad campaign is going to fix.
Well, at least they’re not press-ganging recruits into the Army, with roving bands of thugs in wait outside clubs and bars looking for able-bodied males with tasers and flexi-cuffs. Then again, that may not be that far off.
