Photo Frame
Where can I buy a card photo frame that holds an 8×10 photo and has a seperate space for text below?
The frame is for a sports team photograph and needs to hold an 8×10 landscape team photo and have a seperate aperture/hole at the bottom to include the names of the members of the team. Preferably in the UK.
I don’t know of one, but you can add text to a picture before you upload it to the digital frame easily enough in any photo software. The frame is like any other screen it just reproduces whatever picture file you give it.
Have you thought of creating an animated slide show in Pictures to Exe or Pro Show Gold? save as an Avi and let the photoframe replay it. Then you can pan across a picture, zoom in and out, fade in text, add a video sequence, there are countless ways to fade from one picture to the next, you can even add a soundtrack, but not all photoframes can play that.
For the cost of a 10 X 8 photoframe you can buy a cheap laptop which can do anything you want, add a projector and a rear projection screen, OK I know its expensive for a club, but now you can show your pictures 4ft X 3ft or bigger, show video, play a soundtrack incorporated into your slide show etc. etc.. You could also output the laptop to a large plasma screen (kindly donated when one of our members upgraded his home cine) which is what we do in our Photo club.
