Car Decals On Car Door?
So i JUST got home from picking up my new (used) car from the dealership, and once it was sitting in the sun I noticed that i can see the silhouette of letters on the back passenger door. Clearly the previous owners has stickers of magnets on the door.
It’s not a sticky residue. I think it might be that the paint around it faded while the original finish was protected under the letters.
How would i remove the apparent writing on my door?
Would a good wax job cover it? or do i have to have it sanded and re-finished?
If the washing and waxing doesn’t get it, try polishing compound first.
If polishing compound doesn’t get it, use rubbing compound.
Be sure and apply a good coat of wax when done.
