Static Cling
How can I remove static cling without dryer sheets?
I live in Italy, so using dryer sheets isn’t an option (I can’t even say that I’ve noticed them here, since most people don’t own dryers). Unfortunately, line drying doesn’t eliminate static cling – I know, because it’s the only option I have. Now that Winter is here, I need to be able to wear my snuggliest sweaters, but some of them have such bad static cling that it’s impossible.
Help!
* Fabric Softeners are Cationic (meaning +ively charged) therefore will neutralize static cling (or -ive charges) from polyester and woolen fabrics.
- Add fabric softener to final rinse to neutralize static and freshen cloths.
* Do away with static cling -
Keep a used fabric softener sheet in your dresser drawer.
Or keep a damp sheet in a zip lock bag and rub it over your jumper to neutralize static charge at any time.
